PVC or polyvinyl chloride is the next common option, although it can be employed for cold water only. CPVC or chlorinated polyvinyl chloride piping can also be used for water that is up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Both materials are easy to fix and very affordable, but they generally need more maintenance than their counterpart, which is copper.
Another material used for piping is polybutylene or PB. It is not so common because of a reputation failure the material experienced at one time, which led to its drop in use. Despite this, PB has brilliant properties too. It is flexible, less priced, frost resistance and can be used for both cold and water services.
Supply pipe features that ensure safe water transport
There are various features that supply pipes must possess to ensure they transport water safely. It must be sized accurately to maintain firm pressure too.
